In the spring of 2018, two paths crossed that would soon intertwine into a shared dream. Little did we know, our first date would spark a journey that combined our passions for business, craft, and making a positive impact on the world.

The Heart Behind Our Business

Spencer's background is as inspiring as it is diverse. Before becoming a paramedic, he worked with autistic children, using crafts as a medium to connect and bring joy into their lives. His ability to teach and engage these children with creative activities left a lasting impact on him, and it was something he was passionate about continuing in some form. I, on the other hand, had always envisioned a career that allowed me to help people and spread joy, all while indulging in my love for crafts. The idea of blending these elements into a business was exhilarating.

Crafting a Vision

Our vision was simple yet ambitious: to create a pottery business that wasn’t just about selling products, but about creating experiences and making a difference. We wanted our pottery to be more than just items; we wanted them to be vessels of joy and connection. Each piece would be crafted with care and love, designed to bring a smile to someone's face or become a cherished part of their daily routine.

I spent an awesome four years at university researching and playing with materials to become a potter. During this time, I honed my skills and fell in love with the art of pottery. Meanwhile, Spencer dedicated the last four years to expanding our workshop and completed courses in PET to handle electrical installations. He also became proficient with a 3D printer, enhancing our ability to create intricate designs. Spencer loves the technical side of things, while I love getting dirty and playing with clay.

A Perfect Fit for Our Lifestyle

Our business is more than just work; it fits perfectly into our lifestyle. We have two dogs and three cats, and we cherish every moment spent together as a family. The flexibility of running our own pottery business allows us to balance work with quality time spent with our pets and each other. This harmony is at the heart of what we do and why we love it.
